Volunteering we need most right now
Facility and Yard Maintenance - groups or individuals needed to help maintain
our grounds and building. Includes: pruning, weeding, washing FBB vans, window washing, demolition, painting and working in the children's play yard.
Deliveries - strong individuals with large vehicles needed to help transport large donated household items to FBB families' homes.
Tech Support - individuals who can commit two hours a week to support the computer and tech needs of our staff. Can also include work with our donors and special events!

Anyone can volunteer
Too busy to volunteer? We can use your help even if you only have a couple of hours to give us. Riding a bus, raking leaves, and sewing are volunteering tasks you might not think of at first. - Cleaning and organizing classrooms
3. Basic needs- clothing and food

- Clothing closet organization
- Reruns for Kids consignment store
- Organize food pantry
- Coordinate a diaper drive
4. Special events & projects

Family Building Blocks' Auxiliary
Do you enjoy socializing and working with others? Don't have time during the workday to volunteer? Joining the Family Building Blocks Auxiliary might be perfect for you. This is an independent group of about 30 volunteers that meets monthly to organize fun and meaningful projects to support FBB's work. Meetings are in the evenings, the fourth Monday of each month from 6-7:30 PM at Chelsea’s Place.
The FBB Auxiliary has been busy this
fall. They raised over $3,000 to support
our children and families by selling tickets
for the Woodburn Shopping Extravaganza
and helping staff the event. They
are busy collecting materials for FBB’s
home visitors to take to children’s homes
for our literacy program, as well as planning the FBB staff
holiday party.

We provide a supportive and nurturing environment for interns. Trained staff help students explore our programs, and expose them to the rewarding work of the social services.
