Our priority is the comfort and safety of the children, while giving families the opportunity to build and maintain lasting relationships.
What we offer
- Supervised visitation, monitored by staff
- Supervised exchanges, facilitated by staff
Who can participate in the program?
Visitation at Family Building Blocks requires a current order/referral from a referring Judge, attorney or outside agency. Self-referrals may be considered based on criteria. Please call for more information.
What is supervised visitation?
Some non-custodial parents are required to have a third-party present when spending time with their children. Supervised visitation ensures the safety and comfort of the children.
What is supervised exchange?
Sometimes it is best if parents do not have contact with each other when exchanging children for visitation. In this case the transfer of children from one parent to the other is supervised.
Why is supervision necessary?
Supervised visitation and exchange are designed to assure that a child can have safe continued contact with a non-custodial parent without having to be put in the middle of the parents' conflicts.
Benefits of the program:
- Non-custodial parents are able to maintain contact with their children
- Children enjoy a safe and nurturing environment
- It supports families as they go through difficult or transitional times.
